Kicking Off a Summer of Community and Connection
More than 200 neighbors joined Marillac Saint Vincent in East Garfield Park to kick off the summer with food, music, games, community resources, and plenty of fun. A special thank you to Jalesa Haggard, whose leadership brought the Safe Summer Kickoff Block Party to life as part of her Community Leadership Fellows project. Her work is a powerful example of what can happen when talent, opportunity, and a commitment to community come together. Thank you to our partners, volunteers, staff, sponsors, and everyone who helped us start the summer safe, healthy, and connected.
